Exercise: Target Exhibit Details

Mission

The demo styled a Moon Jelly card. This new Sea Star card uses the same three selector types, but its class and ID have different names. Look at index.html before writing the rules.

What you'll build

A readable specimen card with an element rule, class rule, and ID rule.

Your Task

  1. Set line-height: 1.6; in a p rule.
  2. Set background-color: #fff4cc; in a .care-tip rule.
  3. Set color: #7a1fa2; in a #sea-star-title rule.

Checkpoint

Run the page. The two-line paragraph gains breathing room between lines; only the care tip gets a background, and only the title changes color.

Payoff

You can now choose whether a style applies to a tag, a reusable class, or one unique ID.

Hint 1
1 / 1
HINT 1

A class selector starts with a dot; an ID selector starts with #.
