The night-market vendor cards need clear edges and enough depth to stand apart from the page.
In .card, border: 2px solid #f59e0b draws an amber edge; border-radius: 1rem rounds its corners; and box-shadow: 0 0.5rem 1rem rgb(120 53 15 / 20%) puts a soft shadow below. The two-column layout is supplied here; Grid is taught later.
Change .card's border-radius from 1rem to 0, run the preview, and notice the square corners. Restore 1rem before the exercise.
Both vendor cards have an amber border, rounded corners, and a soft shadow. The following exercise asks you to recreate these on a different pair of cards.
MDN’s official documentation explains shadow offsets, blur, spread, inset shadows, and multiple shadows. Read MDN’s reference for the box-shadow CSS property when you want to go further.
Change one CSS value, then run the preview.
Restore the original value before continuing.
