Exercise: Build a Night-Shift Check-In

Mission

After reading the relay intake demo, build a night-shift check-in form for a different crew. It needs an operator name, backup email, and access phrase.

What you'll build

A night-shift check-in form with connected labels, text, email, and password fields, plus a submit action.

Your Task

  1. Add one <form> element around the controls.
  2. Add a text input for the night-shift operator.
  3. Add an email input for a backup address.
  4. Add a password input for an access phrase.
  5. Add a submit button.
  6. Connect a label to every text, email, and password input using matching for and id values.

Checkpoint

Run the page and click each label. It should focus the corresponding field; the submit button should be visible at the end of the form.

Payoff

The crew has a clear route into the Meridian Relay, and every field has a human-readable label.
