Exercise: Build a Rescue Dispatch Report

Mission

After exploring the reply demo, build a rescue dispatch report with incident notes, one urgency level, and a suggested rendezvous point.

What you'll build

A dispatch report with a multi-line textarea, four urgency choices (one default), and rendezvous suggestions.

Your Task

  1. Add a <textarea> with at least four rows for incident notes.
  2. Add a <select> containing at least four <option> choices.
  3. Preselect one option using selected.
  4. Add a <datalist> with at least three suggested rendezvous points.
  5. Add a text input whose list matches the datalist’s id, with a visible label for the input.

Checkpoint

Run the page. The incident-notes field should accept multiple lines, the default urgency should show in the menu, and typing in the linked input should reveal rendezvous suggestions.

Payoff

The crew can now send both detailed and structured information through one clear response form.
